La Marinella, the southern side of the causeway which connects the Aragonese castle to mainland Ischia gave us good shelter overnightThe Castello D’IschiaA small ristorante for visiting boats is close byThis morning we leave the anchorage and motor south to have a look around the islandA sheltered bay in the south east by Punta San PancrazioA comfortable motor yacht passes byIn the distance we can see the port of Sant’ AngeloIn southern Ischia by Lido di Maronti are many hot springsWe drop our anchor by the springs and spend a couple of hours swimming and relaxing here

Approaching Foria d’Ischia on the mid west coastWe continue on past the old port of Forio d’IschiaThese amazing houses with swimming pools are built over the rocks on the extreme north west corner of IschiaWe arrive in Lacco Ameno on the north coastWe decide to join quite a few other boats and drop anchor here for the nightPietra del Lacco, a conspicuous rock in the bay is also known as ‘Il Funghi’Lacco Ameno
