The beautiful bay of Cala di Corricella on Procida IslandWe pull up our anchor for our move to Ischia IslandLooking back to the CastelloWe head south down the coast of Procida IslandPunta Socciaro on the south east tip of Procida with Ischia in the backgroundAnother prominent castle on the nearby island of IschiaThe Aragonese castle that is on an islet on the east coast of Ischia IslandPorto d’Ischia only a short distance north of the castle
The narrow entrance to the small harbourWe drop our anchor by the Ischia portRic takes the dinghy to go to the PO to see if our mail had arrived from AustraliaMid afternoon we find a mooring for the night in the southern bay by the castleThe Aragonese Castle stands on volcanic rock and was built in 474BCThe castle on the islet is joined to Ischia by a causeway which was first constructed in stone in the 1400’s after replacing a wooden bridge

A concert ashore kept us entertained with nice Italian music all eveningRic is chef tonight creating a delicious picante vegetarian pasta sauceThe spinach and riccotta ravioli was freshly made by a deli we visited today
