2015-07-16 Cefalu, Sicily Peter, originally from Barcelona and a keen sports enthusiast paddles past in the morning for a friendly chat The tiny safe beach behind the seawall is crowded with familes with chidren The arch is where you can find the medieval fountain which was used for washing clothes only up to a few years ago Susie and I have a long swim from the Tangaroa into the tiny beach in Cefalu Paddling boats complete with slides are popular for the young people to hire out for the day After spending the day swimming and relaxing we are invited for drinks aboard Peter and his wife’s yacht at 6pm Peter’s yacht, the “Keewaydin” is a 34 metre beautiful cruising ketch with a crew It is quite an honor for us to be invited aboard by Peter and his wife’s yacht tonight Susie and I with Peter’s wife, Michele The decor in the boat is very elegant I manage to capture another amazing sunset while aboard our new friend’s yacht A delightful crew member takes a group photo for us A very nice photo of Peter and Michele The Keewaydin looks very comfortable with a wonderful spacious deck area at the stern Goodbye and thank you to our generous hosts Looking back to our little boat which is half the length of the Keewaydin We continue on into Cefalu for dinner tonight It is great to have my dear friend Susie spending some time with me aboard the boat It is nice to get a group photo occasionally without food on the table The Galleria Ristorante in the old town for us tonight Prawns for Susie Ric and Don choose the fish cooked in a bag I needed a protein fix so I ordered the fillet steak with mashed peas For dessert we share a couple of each puddings Back to the Tangaroa after a wonderful night Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
