Our departure from Punta LongaPassing an unfinished hotel nearbyThe fishermen have been busy all morningA local swimming spotThe entrance to Cala Rossa on the north east corner of Favignana IslandCrystal clear turquoise water greets us in this beautiful bayIn ancient times the surrounding rock in the bay has been carved out to make houses by the waterShapes of old dwellings can still be seen in the bayMuch rock in the area has been harvested for buildingWhile swimming I had a friendly bird paddle over for a chatTangaroa in Carla RossaLots of photos being taken here !!Many locals and visitors of Favignana come to Carla Rossa to swim in the amazing coloured waterTripper boats also call into the bayAfter several hours of enjoying this picturesque bay we head back to the the Sicilian mainlandIsola Formica is a small islet between Levanzo Island and Trapani that has a tunny factory which appears to rise out of the waterHydrofoils travel at very fast paces ferrying people to the islandsWe arrive back in Trapani as we still have not finalised the repair on our generatorThe old lighthouse of Trapani
