2015-06-25 Marina Di Ragusa to Marina Di Cale Del Sole, Licata, Sicily

After a couple of lovely days of sightseeing we depart from spacious Marina Di Ragusa

Marina Di Ragusa would be an excellent choice of wintering one’s boat

We continue west along the southern coast of beautiful Sicily

We pass many towns on our way to our next destination

We even pass an oil drilling platform !!

Apart from the volcanic hills and mountains, Sicily is quite fertile along the coast and in the lowlands

We approach the entrance to our next port on our journey west along the Sicilian coast

A lot of concrete has been used in many ports to create secure moorings for vessels along the southern coast of Sicily

Arriving in the port of Licata, the castle on the hill and the cemetery with it’s many rows of large family crypts below are quite conspicuous

Marina staff guide us to our berth for the night

We have a quiet night tonight and cook a tasty pasta and vegetarian sauce for dinner.
