Before departing Siracusa Port we return to the Marina to fill the fuel tanksVery few empty spaces at the MarinaWe say goodbye to John and EvaThe Destiny with the ‘Santuary of the Madonna delle Lacrime’ in the backgroundWe also call past to say goodbye to John and ConsieAnd cousin LizThe crew of Restless of Auckland plan to stay in Siracusa for a few more daysA very faint outline of Mt Etna can be seen in the distanceFinally we depart Siracusa after spending well over a week in the beautiful old portAs we travel west along the south coast parts are fairly industrialWe pass a few coastal towns, some with resortsIn areas the sandy beaches along the coast were quite desertedWe stop for a swim at a beach near our destinationNot far from Marina Di Ragusa are popular inexpensive holiday resortsOnce the Tangaroa was all tied up safely in Marina Di Ragusa, we set off on foot to explore the area around the marina and also find a restaurant for dinnerClose to the Marina Di Ragusa we found a nice restaurant called Allue which had it’s own sandy beachWe deided to share a huge tender steak (all the way from Ireland), grilled veggies, salad and chips
