We Move from Our Overnight Mooring Across the Bay to My MarinaMy Marina will be a Safe Mooring While we Visit Dalyan RiverOur Booked Tour Boat for the Dalyan River Arrives Early to Collect UsTangaroa Looks Safe on the Calm Side of the Pier at My MarinaMy Marina is Sheltered Below Tall Wooded Hills, has Nicely Maintained Grounds and an Excellent Restaurant with Great Sea Views. We have been Told you may Rub Shoulders with Famous People Here on Occasions !! Have not Seen any as Yet !!Rod and Kate Looking Forward to our Excursion to DalyanTurtles have Migrated to this Beach to Lay their Eggs for Hundreds of YearsTour Boats Head Out to Pick Up Passengers from a Couple of Big Boats for the Dalyan River TripThe Sandy Beach at Dalyan is Always Crowded in the SummerAll the Tourists are Anxiously Waiting for a Turtle to SurfaceFinally a Cute Loggerhead Turtle AppearsTourists Come to Visit Dalyan and Always Hope to Catch a Glimpse of the Turtles that are Lured to the Surface by the Live Crabs or Fish Thrown Out on Lines. This One was not Going to Loose his Lunch !!Kate Hopefully has a Few Spare Batteries for her Camera TodayOur Trip Takes Us Through Narrow Reeded WaterwaysRic Enjoying His 3rd Trip Up the Dalyan RiverWe Disembark the Boat and take a Tractor to the Ancient Kaunos Site which was a Great Idea in the Hot Humid ConditionsVisiting the Ancient Ruins of KaunosThe Ancient Theatre at Kaunos Dates Back to 2nd Century BCThis Pooch has Found a Cool Shaded Place by the Ancient Mosaic Tiled FloorBehind Kate is the Ancient Agora at the Kaunos SiteParts of the Ancient Church Still Stand at KaunosFrom Kaunos the Sea can be seen over the Labyrinth of Canals Covered with ReedsRod Looking Quite Relaxed on Our Venture back on the Dalyan RiverThe Next Stop for us is the Famous 4th Century BC Lycian Tombs at DalyanAfter Some Lunch We took a Walk Along the Main Street of Dalyan, Which Caters for the Needs of the Many Tourists that Come to this AreaWe Revisit Our Favourite Shop in Dalyan to Say Hi to the GirlsThe Mosque by the Dalyan RiverThe Mud Baths of Ilica are 10 Minutes Upriver from DalyanThe Muddy Water is a Constant 40 Degrees and One Digs Down to Scoop Up the Mud to Smear on Oneself !!The Mud is Believed to be Beneficial for your Health, However the Fun Part Appeals to Most that Visit the Area !!Being Overwhelmed by the Sulphur Aromas and Thought of Being Covered by Smelly Mud and then being Hosed Off by a Fire Hose was not on Our Agenda for the AfternoonAll of Us were Pleased with our Excursion to Dalyan TodayOur Trip Back to My Marina, Once Out of the River Became Quite Uncomfortable and RoughKate and I Sat on the Floor and Covered Ourselves to Keep DryRod Clung on to the Roof Bars and got Partly Drenched
A Swim was Refreshing After Our Rough Trip Back from DalyanA Number of Yachts have Remained for an Extra Night due to the Windy ConditionsA Great View of My Marina from Water LevelAfter Our Swim, a Warm Shower and the Hair Dryer We were Ready for DinnerThe Chef takes Orders for the Fresh Fish in His Display CaseFabulous PrawnsVery Tender OctopusThe Restaurant at My Marina was Exceptional
