  Hi Ro
  How lovely to hear from you!! We are at the moment in a small bay not far from the ancient site of Troy, 30 n.miles north of Kusadasi which is on the west coast of Turkey. We are making our way slowly up to Istanbul where we are going to leave the boat in early October. The weather has become very hot and fortunately we can cool off by jumping in the water. We do a fair bit of swimming which is great for the health, especially for Ric and his Rheuatoid Arthritis. My hair suffers a bit with the salt water and the sun and once again I have the beached white look!!! Not to worry, Dean will fix when I get home!!! We are having a lovely time and have enjoyed having some friends visit us on a couple of occasions. It is always nice to share some of these experiences!! I am pleased you are having a look at the blog which I am trying to get up to date with. Won’t be long but have not had fast internet. You know I love the photography and it is a good diary for our trips. Keep well and love from us both. R & H xxxx

Hi there. We met briefly at Kusadasi at the marina coffee shop where you were showing your stitches to my Tassie friend Chris. Hope all is healed now.. Tell me more about the kas marina and prices etc. I’m thinking of leaving my yacht there for December to February. 3 months over the winter. Do you have any information etc what’s the marina like.   All Good with bike injuries and back swimming. At moment 30 miles north of Kusadasi in small bay just south of Sigacik, near Troy!! Re Kas Marina, on our 3 visits there we moored in the old port which gets quite busy. Did not visit Kas marina however we have had friends keep their yacht in Finike at the Setur marina and they have been happy with the costs. If you get quote there make sure the lifting is included. We overwintered at MarinTurk in Gocek which we found very good. This area of Turkey is the Best!!!! Great place to finish and start your cruising from, as Dalaman airport (direct flights to Istanbul) very close and maintenance facilities outstanding there. We love Gocek and could easily live there. The Fethiye Gulf in which Gocek is situated is stunning!! Happy sailing and very nice to hear from you.
