The Early Morning Light Over Mitilini Reminded us of Our Visits to SimiWith the Weather Very Favourable Today, we Depart for Our Long Trip North Towards the DardenellesSome of the Local Fishing Boats have Already Departed for the DayThe Town Appears so Peaceful in the Early MorningThe Busy Restaurants Along the Pier have a Quiet Break Before the Lunch Crowd ArriveBefore Our Departure we have to Clear Customs from Greece and Fuel UpVive La Vie Still Gives Mitilini an Attractive Focal Point on Our DepartureWe Pass the North Port of MitiliniThe Mitilini CastleMotoring North we Pass Our Favourite Swimming SpotLeaving Lesvos Island we Approach the Turkish Coast Once AgainThe Concrete Jungle of Boxy Holiday Houses in Turkey, Unfortunately Spoils Some of the Lovely CoastlineThe Fort and Fishing Harbour of Babakale on the Turkish Cape of Baba BurunThe Huge Fort was Built in the 1700’s to Protect the Small Village from Pirate AttacksContinuing North we see Dolphins Playing at the Bow of a Passing ShipAfter Many Hours of Motoring we Finally Arrive at the Turkish Island of BozcaadaThe Impressive Castle Domineers the Harbour in the TownA Combination of Yachts and Motor Boats are Berthed at the Quay in the Bozcaada PortOn the Quay at the Port, Several Cafes Line the Shore for VisitorsFerries from the Mainland of Turkey Come Across to Bozcaada Every Day Bringing VisitorsThe Tangaroa Dwarfed Between Larger Motor BoatsThe Local Fishing Port in the Town is Full of the Usual Colourfully Painted Fishing Boats of All Shapes and SizesThe Large Genoese Bozcaada Castle has been Well Preserved over the CenturiesRic Does His Thing by Assisting Strangers with Their Photography !!The Narrow Streets Behind the Castle Lead to a Number of Waterside RestaurantsRestaurants Along the Foreshore all have a Wonderful View of the CastleQuaint Boutique Hotels Line the Back Streets of the TownA Colourful Welcome for Visitors at this Tiny HouseTractors Seem to be Popular in this Town !!We have Some New Neighbours at the QuayAt the End of the Quay Local Families and Visitors Try Their Hands at Fishing
