10th July 2013 Pserimos to Vlikadhia,Kalimnos via Pothia Tangaroa in Pserimos Goodbye to Nino and Paola Fishing Boats in Pserimos Harbour Approaching Kalimnos Island A Hilltop Church with Nearby Monastery A Tour Boat Departing Pothia (Kalimnos) Port Local Boats Under Maintenance in the Traditional Boat Yard of Lafasi in Pothia (Kalimnos Port) One of the Many Churches in Kalimnos Clusters of Traditional Greek Houses Line the Shores of the Port Over the Years Other Colours have Appeared on the Houses however the Traditional White with Blue still Remain Dominant Houses and Fishing Boats of Pothia are a Photographer’s Dream Colourful Fishing Boats Line the Piers in the Harbour of Pothia With Luck a Space in the Port is Available for us to Moor for a Few Hours Tangaroa in Pothia (Kalimnos Port) Kalimnos has been Known as the Home of Sponge Fishing The Large Church of Christ in Kalimnos with Frescos and Icons Inside After Departing Pothia we Called into the Small Village of Vlikadhia on the South Coast of Kalimnos Vlikadhia Being Such a Beautiful, Quaint Port we Decided to Drop Anchor and Stay Overnight On the Tiny Beach Stood and Equally Tiny Traditional Greek House Many of the Locals and Visitors Enjoy Swimming in the Clear Waters of the Tiny Port We Venture Ashore for Dinner Tonight Rod made the Choice this Evening Beautifully Presented Bread Together with Olives and Special Butter Fried Zucchini is Popular in Greek Restaurants – These were Delicious The Chicken with Aromas was a Great Choice Ric and I Both Enjoyed the Beef in a Pot This Special Paradisio Dessert was Absolutely Amazing – Caramelised Tomato !!
