2017-07-30 Marina Burriananova, Burriana to La Marina Real Juan Carlos 1, Valencia, Spain

Mid morning we make a move from the marina Burriananova
Our plan today is to continue down the coast to Valencia
looking back to the Burriana township which we did not get the opportunity to visit
On our way out of the port we again pass the modern marina buildings near the entrance
We had a wonderful window table at the well positioned, El Morro Restaurant last night
Burriana was a very nice port with a good marina and certainly worth a return visit
Continuing down the coast we pass many towns and resorts such as Platja de Nules, Moncofa, Xilxes and Casablanca
Once again it was time to find a nice spot to drop the anchor and have a refreshing swim
It didn’t take Ric long to get his flippers and snorkel on and do a few big laps of the boat
With the continuous extreme hot weather. all the beaches along the coast were all very crowded as we passed
After a couple of hours of swimming and relaxation we continue on towards Sagunto which was the site of an ancient town called Arse. It has a hilltop castle and remains found here date back to 1500 BC
We pass the Sagunto port

Continuing on for several miles finally the port of Valencia can be seen in the distance. It is  known to be the busiest container port in the Mediterranean.
We approach the entrance to the Marina Real Juan Carlos 1 where we had booked a berth for a few nights
On our right we see Hotel Balneario Las Arenas which has a wonderful position close to the marina and borders a large sandy beach
Malvarrosa Beach with the city in the background has fine sand and a promenade and is situated adjacent to the marina and the hotel mentioned
Entering the marina
Tying up at the fuel berth to do the paperwork for one’s visit is essential here
We were given a berth towards the end of pier D which private, had nice neighbours and had good airflow
On the other side of us there was not anybody staying aboard
Looking forward from the bow of the Tangaroa towards one of the bars and a restaurant of the marina
A party boat with lots of young people aboard and loud music playing leaves the port for the evening
After giving the boat a good clean, tonight we decide to have dinner aboard. A nice simple salad and a small steak to get our protein is on the menu!!
Interesting clouds this evening!! With the humidity so high perhaps some rain may arrive overnight!!
